Four KS4 pupils have entered the ‘Student Investor Challenge’ run by the London Institute of Business and Finance. For this national competition, young people receive an imaginary £100,000 to invest in the FTSE 100. They must keep their portfolios healthy by following the ups and downs of the market, judging when to buy and sell in order to make a profit. This is a nationally run competition with over 3,500 entrants – we wish this year’s team the best of luck in the markets as they compete for the first prize place and a trip to New York!
