Copyright applies to photographs, diaries, paintings, film clips and many other works. In this talk Margaret Haig aims to cover some of the issues you might face with copyright works in your family history. Margaret covers: - How long copyright lasts; - When you might or might not need permission to use the works; - What you can do if you cannot find the right holder and would like to copy the work. Margaret’s talk will be especially useful for those considering publication of their family history. Margaret Haig is with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO), the official government body responsible for intellectual property rights including patents, designs, trademarks and copyright.
